Last week, we got to take a few days of the kids' Spring Break and head North. It had been over 6 years since we had been to visit my husband's Aunt Barbara and Uncle Don. We also got to visit with our favorite cousins and their families, Gary and Brian. We had a great trip and the time we got to spend with everyone was wonderful. We were also able to set up a trip in August for our girls to see the Jonas Brothers here in Nashville. So Gary and family will be coming late August to spend a couple of days with us. I didn't get a picture of the girls faces when we told them about the tickets, but they are every excited. The moms are just as excited because we got a good deal on the tickets! A much better deal than what we got when we took Jessica to Little Rock, AR in Feb08. Now we can't wait until August to see everyone again.
I wish I would have done a better job taking pictures while there. We were busy and I kept leaving the camera at the house. I will do better next time. We hope to visit them again in the summer. We got to get back up there to put their nice pool to use!
I did manage to get a few pictures of Todd and the kids' on Gary and Tammy's horses. Jessica's faces crack me up. I just don't know what happed to the pictures. They have lines in them and they don't appear on the computer screen! How frustrating.

Guess who got braces!?!
Check out these braces! Talk about a lot of metal. So far, so good. Not to much pain. Tomorrow will be one week. He is looking at 26 months total, but hopefully on 12 months with the hydraulics. Sorry, I just realized that I didn't get a full face shot of him afterward. Now he doesn't want to let me take pictures of him......he didn't want me to post them here.

Winter has arrived
Up until now, winter has been pretty mild. However, the last couple of days have been very, very cold. It is single digits and I don't think we are going to get above freezing until sometime next week! They even called out school today because it is so cold. Several of the schools here, elementary mostly, have classes in portables due to overcrowding. I imagine that the heat in a portable is not so effective when the high for the day is below freezing. Not to mention the absence of heat on the buses. Either way, my kids were just totally stoked to be out of school. We all have a long weekend since Monday is a holiday and we were trying to figure out something fun to do, but it is so cold it is hard to find motivation to leave the house! I was looking thru some pictures from our last beach trip and coudn't resist posting them. I am sooo ready for Spring Break now!

Late Post of our Snow Night
Since we do not see much snow here, I thought I would share pictures of the little bit that we got. The kids were able to play in it that night it was falling and they got to stay out of school the next day. Smyrna got a good little bit and somehow it missed downtown Nashville. I thougth I should post these since this might be all the snow we see this year. It is cold right now and has been raining most of this week. I hear that we might have a chance at some more this coming Saturday. Enjoy!

Happy New Year!
We are enjoying the evening at home tonight. We have good friends and family to spend the evening with and we are all playing Wii bowling :) Jessica got a Wii from Santa and we have all enjoyed it so much. I had no idea it would be this much fun. I am not normally into video games but this is awesome! It has been the cause of some sore muscles, but I am pretty sure that is a good thing. More exercise than me and Todd are use to anyway.
The pictures are of our new kitten. We have decided to call him TC. We kept Trenton since that was his name when we got him. We got TC from calling him Trenton Cat. He is so adorable and is already getting bigger. He loves to sleep as close to your face as he can. As you can see, he also gets pretty comfortable in a lap too. I also added a few pictures from Christmas morning. Please ignore our fireplace. We are still working on getting it finished. We took down the old tiles and we found out how crappy the builder had done originally. We are trying to find glass tiles to go back around it with the new stained wood mantle. We still haven't found any that we really like yet.
We wish everyone a wonderful New Year!!

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas! We are ready (finally) for Christmas...the kids especially. Now all the shopping is done and it is time to sit back and relax. I think we have fixed every kind of goodie to snack on this evening. We have a new addition to our family this Christmas Eve. His name is Trenton and he is adorable. He is only 9 weeks old and I think he is the cutest kitten ever. We are now up to 2 dogs (Oliver and Jenny), 2 cats (Leonard and Trenton), and 2 fish (Flare and Earth). I already have some pictures of Trenton, but I will need to get them loaded so I can post him in all his cuteness.
These are just a couple of pictures that I snapped of the kids a few nights ago. Not sure why they came out a little fuzzy though.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Hope everyone is ready for Thanskgiving festivities and then a few days of Christmas shopping. We will be with family in Alabama. This is the big rival weekend of football for Alabama too. Alabama will play Auburn on Saturday. Since our Titans lost this past weekend, we are hanging on to hope that Alabama can finish with a perfect season. I wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I imagine that we will be putting up our Christmas tree by Friday night too. Our new movie theatre just opened this past weekend so maybe we can also catch a good movie over the weekend. We are only a little over a mile from the theatre :) I see a lot of movies for us this holiday season! Love to all - Stephanie
