March madness and ready for Easter

I hope everyone had a Happy St. Patrick's Day! We have been busy with the kids activites so this post will be just an update on us....no pictures. Jessica is busy with JBQ - we are getting ready for district finals so we are practicing every night. All the kids are working so hard. I am sure they will get a bid for Nationals. We will get to travel to travel to Mississippi and Wisconsin if we perform well at districts. Jonathan has been busy with school and band. He has done so great with learning drums. They had their Spring concert last night so I will have to get our pictures on the computer to share. I am so proud of him. They are both growing up so fast. Jessica has is enjoying her guitar lessons and her teacher said that she is a fast learner. I told them that we had the makings of a great band! We can all sing pretty good so maybe we will end up being famous on day...LOL!

Everyone is doing well, but I am sad to say that before I could get a picture of our other fish, he died :( So my last post includes all of our pets. Oliver is growing fast and housetraining is going much better now. Not so much fun those first few weeks. It is like having a baby again...he is into everything! Our cat still doesn't know what to think of him though. Oliver tries to play and he just hisses and runs from him. He and Jenny have a blast together though. He loves being outside and the weather is getting better for him to go outside now. I am so glad that Spring is around the corner. I am tired of the cold. It is nice to see the plants coming back to life. We are looking forward to the long Easter weekend and the kids are on Spring Break next week so I will be sure to post some pictures soon.

Thanks for dropping by to check on us! I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

Leonard and Fishes

This is Leonard. He is difficult to photograph. He strayed up about 3 years ago at Christmas. I had been asking for a cat and Todd really didn't want to get one. It was so cold that night and I opened the door and he came in like he had lived here forever. He must have belonged to someone that treated him well, and he was very well behaved. Not once did he mess with the Christmas tree or anything that was sitting out. Todd made me put him back out that night but he was still here the next morning, waiting. He is a great indoor/outdoor cat. He has still not adjusted to having a puppy in the house though.
The picture above is our fish Flare. The darker fish below is Earth. He is a greenish blue color, just hard to tell in these pictures. They have one tank but they have a divider between them since they are fighting fish. The red fish is Fire. You can see him best in the bottom picture. We have one other fish, but I realized when writing this post that I haven't tried to take a picture of him. Flipper is a goldfish and I will post a picture of him soon to complete the profile of all of our pets :)
